Tea in the Garden

Neighborhood Music School is hosting their Annual Tea in the Garden on March 28th at 2pm. They will have a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new garden stage, updates on the year ahead, and a toast to their annual benefit honoring Mark and Dan Guerrero in May.
In addition to all that, there will be a special Legacy Salon featuring Andres Jaramillo — a Piano Spheres’ Leonard Stein Resident artist — who will perform selections from A Journey of Immigrants.

I began studying music at Neighborhood Music School when I was 12 years old. I was mostly interested in pop music, and didn’t think much further than that. My teachers encouraged me to grow. I fell in love with opera and spent this summer with the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra
Keep the Door Open at Five Dollars a Month
Tuition at Neighborhood Music School can start as low as $5 a month, but only because donor support makes up the difference. Scholarship and outreach are the school’s largest unmet needs. Here are the ways you can help:
- $1,000 to the Carrie Stone Freeman Founders Circle honors the school’s founder and matches her original gift.
- $5,000 underwrites six weeks of tuition-free classes for a student.
- $10,000 fully underwrites a tuition-free ensemble for the year.
- $25,000 funds a 10-week residency at a school that would otherwise be unable to afford one.
