Para Los Niños Celebrates Hosts its 2025 Annual Benefit — 45th Anniversary Gala

By Giving List Staff   |   April 29, 2025

Every year, Para Los Niños’ Annual Benefit celebrates the milestones PLN children, youth, and families have achieved while honoring the people who have supported their transformative journeys.

The nonprofit serves powerful communities with strong family ties and rich cultural traditions, but who are hardest hit by homelessness and food insecurity due to chronic underinvestment and unjust policies. Donations from their Annual Benefit are critical in allowing them to put people and systems in place so that more families have access to all of the programs and services PLN has to offer. If their 45-year history has proven anything, it’s that Para Los Niños has the experience necessary to help multiple generations in a family with complex social needs reach their educational, emotional and employment goals.

This year, guests will enjoy a magical evening at the Beverly Hilton, including inspiring stories, a silent auction, student speakers and special guest performances. Make memories; make a difference.

About the Honoree

Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard was born and raised in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles and was the first Mexican-American woman to be elected to congress. Her work and advocacy have meaningfully improved conditions for children and families in the communities PLN serves.

Lucille Roybal-Allard served as a state and congressional legislator 1987 to 2023, where she was a strong advocate for women’s rights and environmental equity. Roybal-Allard has been recognized for spearheading legislation that has improved maternal and newborn health, her advocacy on a legal pathway for immigrant youth and her efforts to change conditions for child workers. As vice chair of the Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriations Subcommittee and co-founder and co-chair of the congressional caucus on maternity care, Roybal-Allard helped to pass significant health care initiatives.
